Galamsey Menace: GRASAG to Join Catholic Bishops in Protest Against Galamsey on October 11

The Graduate Students' Association of Ghana (GRASAG) has announced its intention to join forces with the Ghana Catholic Bishops' Conference in a nationwide protest against illegal mining activities, commonly known as galamsey, and what they describe as worsening governance in the country. The protest, scheduled for October 11, 2024, is expected to draw significant attention to the environmental degradation caused by galamsey and the perceived lapses in leadership in addressing the issue. The Catholic Bishops have been vocal in their criticisms of illegal mining, which has devastated large portions of Ghana’s forests, farmlands, and water bodies. They argue that despite various government initiatives to combat galamsey, the issue persists, posing a serious threat to the environment and livelihoods across the country. Businessman Henry Fitz has filed a lawsuit against Serwaa Amihere after the journalist reported him to the police for allegedly leaking their top video. Serwaa Amihere’s police complaint automatically made their case a criminal case which sees Henry Fitz, his wife Candylove and one Edem Savior charged with non-consensual sharing of intimate images and sexual extortion. Henry Fitz has responded with his own lawsuit against Serwaa Amihere after several warnings via his social media pages. In his latest post on Facebook, he says he had filed a lawsuit against Serwaa Amihere. Aside from the civil case lawsuit, he will file another criminal one. “WHEN I TELL YOU TO BACK UP FROM A FIGHT WITH ME, KNOWING IT IS NOT MY WILL TO FIGHT AND THE CAUSE OF THE FIGHT IS NOT FROM ME EITHER, PLS DO. I'm Sorry For The Embarrassment, Disappointment And Frustration - Serwaa Amihere Apologies

  Ghana's celebrated TV icon Serwaa Amihere issued an apology to the general public for trending lately on social media in a circulating video that displayed her in an intimate position with a rich man known on social media as Henry Fitz. It should be noted that Henry Fitz had billed Serwaa Amihere and Nana Aba Anamoah as his MCs for his extravagant wedding, where it was allegedly mentioned that each invited guest received a hundred dollars in an invitation package. As circulated on social media, it was after this wedding ceremony that the news anchor Serwaa Amihere and socialite Henry Fitz embarked on a romantic escape that later landed on social media and generated lots of controversies.  After a series of social media dust-ups, Serwaa Amihere has finally taken a bold step by apologizing to the general public, family, and the brands she represents. This apology was made public on her official social media account, and attached below is a copy of the apology.  

Court allegedly rubbishes Serwaa Amihere’s case

Ghanaian media personality, Serwaa Amihere recently dragged her once-upon-a-time darling Henry Fitz among others to court. Per the reports that flew across social media platforms, the trio were charged with blackmailing among other charges. The report divulged that the police arrested the wife of Henry Fitz and Edem Savior Ketti, but were unable to get the man himself, Henry Fitz. Whilst Edem Saviour Ketti was arrested at his hideout at Dzorwulu, Candylove Kwaykewaa Ababio was arrested at an undisclosed location. In a new development, the court has allegedly rubbished the suit against Henry Fitz, his friend, and wife, saying that the case does not hold any water.
