Election: (CSD-Ghana) Backs The NDC’s “Enough is Enough” Protest In Demand For A Credible Voters’Register

The CSD-Ghana believes strongly that the foundation of any free and fair election is a credible register and as such, any effort towards having a credible Voters’ Register must be supported by all democracy lovers. The Electoral Commission has admitted to many errors in the Electoral Roll, as pointed out by the NDC, but has failed to allow for an independent forensic audit into the same. The EC, for example, has admitted that there were illegal vote transfers in Sagnerigu, Pusiga and Tamale South by an Electoral Commission Official in Tamale South. According to the EC, these illegal transfers went through because there was no “liveness check” mechanism in place to prevent such situations.  The NDC says the situation is widespread so there must be an audit. This is a fair and reasonable call to make, but the EC has remained intransigent. CSD-Ghana stands ready to fully participate in this protest and asks other democracy lovers to join us to mount enough pressure on the Electoral Commis

Bawumia Is Involved In The Bawku Dispute : Former Binduri Mp

Dr. Robert Kuganab-Lem, a former Member of Parliament (MP) for the Binduri Constituency in the Upper East Region, has claimed that Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is involved in the Bawku conflict.

The MP claims that the Vice President has stood by unconcernedly as the Overlord of the Mamprugu Kingdom, Nayiri, Naa Bohugu Mahama Abdulai II, has enskinned Bawku Naba, whom he refers to as an “imposter” when he already in office.

As Dr. Kuganab-Lem notes As the Nayiri’s grandson, Dr. Bawumia should be aware of the Nayiri’s illegality and the fact that, given his stance in the Bawku struggle, he is not qualified to rule the nation.

“We are blaming him because he is the Nayiri’s grandson, and we anticipated that the Nayiri would not remain silent about it.” the former lawmaker declared.

“If unrest is brewing in his backyard, he cannot lead this nation as he is aiming to do; he has failed,” he added.

The former Binduri MP asserts that Vice President Bawumia is complicit in the violence since he did not denounce the Overlord of the Mamprugu Kingdom’s behavior.

In light of this, he went to say,

“Dr. Bawumia requires the approval of the Nayiri if he plans to run for the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearership position.”

“He is from the Nayiri, and the Nayiri must be notified if the Nayiri should enskin an “imposter.”

Bawumia Is Involved In The Bawku Dispute: Former Binduri MP

Dr. Kuganab-Lem wants to convince the Vice President to tell the truth by asking the Nayiri to expose the identity of the “imposter” Bawku Naba and then denouncing the behavior.

To that effect, the former MP said, “The Vice President should urge the Nayiri to disclose the ‘imposter,’ Bawku Naba, and then denounce the ‘imposter,’ because if he doesn’t, Dr. Bawumia is a collaborator in the criminality.”

In order to fight against poverty, ignorance, and disease, he also exhorted northerners in positions of power to utilize their influence to unite their people and provide rewarding jobs for their brothers and sisters.

Breaking News: A Military Man Shot Dead At Kasoa Over Alleged Land Dispute

A military officer in his late 30s was shot dead in Millennium City during a land dispute, while two other officers narrowly escaped death. The incident occurred near the Millennium City District Police Command at Kasoa in the Central region of Ghana. According to reports, the brother of one of the military officers had purchased land from a landowner identified as Winnebo Ndego. However, a group led by one Fiifi consistently prevented them from developing the land.
