Electoral Commission of Ghana releases 2023 activities outline






The Electoral Commission of Ghana has published its programme of activities for 2023.The programme outline for the year focused on District level elections.

The published programme outline captures the Registration of Voters, Exhibition of the Voters Register, and District level elections. Also, each of the three (3) categorised programme has period (dates), number of days to complete the activities, and the scheduled activities.

Some of the dates will be subject to change depending on the exigencies of the
time.

Former Achimota Rastafarian Student Tyrone Bags $1.4 Million Worth Of US Scholarships

  Tyrone Iras Marhguy, the Rastafarian student who initially faced admission denial to the Achimota School in 2021 for refusing to cut off his dreadlocks, has announced that he has been awarded scholarships worth $1.4 million from universities in the United States (US). Tyrone, after winning his legal battle against Achimota, represented the school at the 2023 National Maths and Science Quiz programme and scored 8As in the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). He also made news headlines in December 2023 after he was crowned the overall national top scorer in a US maths contest, the American Mathematics Olympiad, beating over 150,000 students from all parts of the world.
