Election: (CSD-Ghana) Backs The NDC’s “Enough is Enough” Protest In Demand For A Credible Voters’Register

The CSD-Ghana believes strongly that the foundation of any free and fair election is a credible register and as such, any effort towards having a credible Voters’ Register must be supported by all democracy lovers. The Electoral Commission has admitted to many errors in the Electoral Roll, as pointed out by the NDC, but has failed to allow for an independent forensic audit into the same. The EC, for example, has admitted that there were illegal vote transfers in Sagnerigu, Pusiga and Tamale South by an Electoral Commission Official in Tamale South. According to the EC, these illegal transfers went through because there was no “liveness check” mechanism in place to prevent such situations.  The NDC says the situation is widespread so there must be an audit. This is a fair and reasonable call to make, but the EC has remained intransigent. CSD-Ghana stands ready to fully participate in this protest and asks other democracy lovers to join us to mount enough pressure on the Electoral Commis

Stepfather Impregnates Two Daughters At Kasoa SCC





Shocked to her marrow, Gladys Koomson is struggling to reconcile herself.  Her husband had an affair with her two daughters through which the girls, 15-year-old Freda Koomson has given birth and 13-year-old Blessing Koomson is currently pregnant.


Gladys Koomson, her husband and her children lived in a small wooden kiosk at SCC, a suburb along the Kasoa roadfrustrated Gladys said initially, Freda lied that she was only raped by an anonymous person.

“Life was difficult for me so when one of my friends needed someone to cater for her 8-year-old child, I sent Freda to her. While she lived there, my friend called me and told me about my daughter’s protruding stomach because she was suspicious. She made her do a pregnancy test and the result was positive.

She added “When I asked her, she said somebody raped her whiles she was sleeping so she didn’t see the person. I went for her from my friend because she did not take my daughter to the hospital for ante-natal care after she asked her to stay with her though she was pregnant.”

The poor woman said Freda later disclosed that she was raped by her step-dad. This was after her younger sister; Blessing exposed her affair with the man after she was confronted about who was behind her pregnancy.

Breaking News: A Military Man Shot Dead At Kasoa Over Alleged Land Dispute

A military officer in his late 30s was shot dead in Millennium City during a land dispute, while two other officers narrowly escaped death. The incident occurred near the Millennium City District Police Command at Kasoa in the Central region of Ghana. According to reports, the brother of one of the military officers had purchased land from a landowner identified as Winnebo Ndego. However, a group led by one Fiifi consistently prevented them from developing the land.
