Police at the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) of the Manhyia Divisional Police Command have arrested movie actor Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win, shortly after he was discharged from the hospital. His arrest is linked to a recent accident involving a vehicle he was driving, which resulted in the death of a three-year-old boy. The family of the deceased intensified calls for justice following the tragic incident. The police cited delays in Lil Win’s arrest due to his health condition. A police vehicle was stationed at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, and he was taken into custody immediately after being discharged by medical personnel. Although the police have not provided further details, the actor was transported to the Manhyia Divisional Police Command of the MTTD as investigations into the incident continue. But before he arrived in the region, his convoy got involved in an accident leading to the death of the policeman who is said to be in his early 30’s. The incident happened on the Tamale-Bolgatanga Highway while the musician’s convoy was travelling to Bolgatanga for a promotional event for an alcoholic beverage. The deceased officer, a motorcycle rider for former president John Kufour, was reportedly leading the convoy when he was involved in an accident on the highway with another car. The dispatch rider is reported to be one Sergeant Frempah, who studied the Law of Evidence, Criminal Procedure, and Police Ethics at the National Police Training School, who was killed in the impact. Witnesses recount a horrifying scene in which the officer was flung from his motorcycle as soon as it crashed.
