GWR Update; South Techiman Mp donates 10,000 To Seidu Rafiwu The Walk-A-Thon Attemptee
Seidu Rafiwu embarked on his Walkathon Attempt on Friday 26th April 2024 at exactly 9 am to break the Guinness World Record for the Longest Walking Marathon by walking from Techiman to Accra.
Seidu Rafiwu and his team went through thick and thin overlooking all obstacles and storms to materialize this dream.
On the 30th of April exactly at 11am this dream came through when he finally made it to the ending point Independence Square.
In total, he made it through by walking for 96 hours on foot instead of 7 hours by car.
The Member of Parliament for South Techiman Hon. Martin Korsah was overwhelmedm by the record of this young man from his Constituency and supported his dream of Caring for the disabled, orphans and widows by donating Ghc 10,000 to him.

Breaking News: A Military Man Shot Dead At Kasoa Over Alleged Land Dispute
A military officer in his late 30s was shot dead in Millennium City during a land dispute, while two other officers narrowly escaped death. The incident occurred near the Millennium City District Police Command at Kasoa in the Central region of Ghana. According to reports, the brother of one of the military officers had purchased land from a landowner identified as Winnebo Ndego. However, a group led by one Fiifi consistently prevented them from developing the land. On the evening of April 30, 2024, the deceased officer and two fellow military officers, in uniform, went to the land to assess the situation. They found another group working on the property. The officers called for the group to stop and settle the matter at the police station since an initial complaint had been lodged already but the group did not comply.
